Gospel of Mary

                 The Gospel of Mary

The religion meant for showing the way to the people to come out from sorrow, depression, confusion, chaos, etc was framed to use them as a medium of control.

four canonical gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) are technically anonymous, as the texts themselves do not identify their authors who never met Jesus, contains several variations, or inconsistencies (often stem from the target audience, personal view, preference), and were written decades after the departure of Jesus. Akshay will take one example for the readers.

Luke wasn't an eyewitness to Jesus' ministry, lived during the first century, and claims that he carefully investigated everything from the beginning (Luke 1:1–4 NIV).

(1)Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, (2) just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. (3) Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, (4) so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

These and other's things were taken reliable because they matched the needs of the system (institutionalized religion). On the other hand, Mary Magdalene's words were discarded since they talk about inner growth like those of the Thomas (Chaitanya.A, 2025).

Mary Magdalene's record of her last 30 years and death was not documented by the church. They were kept alive through legends. A 13th-century legend says that she spent the final 30 years of her life as a penitent hermit in a cave known as La Sainte-Baume in Southern France. She is believed to have lived in mountain grotto (Grotte de Sainte-Baume is located in a steep cliff in the Massif de la Sainte-Baume, Provence).

This gospel became a victim of male chauvinism in the documented history of the church, an organised religious institution preferred male prejudice against women; the belief that men are superior in terms of ability, intelligence, talent, planning, administrative, etc.

The Gospel of Mary

Chapter 4

29) He who has a mind to understand, let him understand.

Chapter 5

9) Blessed are you that you did not waver at the sight of Me. For where the mind is there is the treasure.

Chapter 8:

13) Again it came to the third power, which is called ignorance.

14) The power questioned the soul, saying, Where are you going? In wickedness are you bound. But you are bound; do not judge!

15) And the soul said, Why do you judge me, although I have not judged?

16) I was bound, though I have not bound.

17) I was not recognized. But I have recognized that the All is being dissolved, both the earthly things and the heavenly.

18) When the soul had overcome the third power, it went upwards and saw the fourth power, which took seven forms.

19) The first form is darkness, the second desire, the third ignorance, the fourth is the excitement of death, the fifth is the kingdom of the flesh, the sixth is the foolish wisdom of flesh, the seventh is the wrathful wisdom. These are the seven powers of wrath.

20) They asked the soul, Whence do you come slayer of men, or where are you going, conqueror of space?

21) The soul answered and said, What binds me has been slain, and what turns me about has been overcome,

22) and my desire has been ended, and ignorance has died.

23) In a aeon I was released from a world, and in a Type from a type, and from the fetter of oblivion which is transient.

Chapter 9

6) Levi answered and said to Peter, Peter you have always been hot tempered.

7) Now I see you contending against the woman like the adversaries.

8) But if the Savior made her worthy, who are you indeed to reject her? Surely the Savior knows her very well.

9) That is why He loved her more than us. Rather let us be ashamed and put on the perfect Man, and separate as He commanded us and preach the gospel, not laying down any other rule or other law beyond what the Savior said.

View of the author-

Mind is the ultimate controller of sense organs and the enjoyer of the fruits of action (Chaitanya.A, 2025). The status of mind (4.29) is related with the pure mind which is ready to receive. In 5.9, the need for a pure mind is mentioned. The proper understanding of one's own true identity is the treasure. It stays hidden due to ignorance. 8.16 reveals the imaginary illusion of human beings. Humans consider themselves bound. To consider oneself bound is nothing but an imagination. It can only be removed by knowledge and not by rituals and robes. 8.17 is a bold statement on the removal of ignorance. When it is removed, the whole scenario about the earth and heaven stops haunting the mind. In this condition, the mind becomes an observer. This internal resurrection can take place with every seeker of truth. At that point, the person concerned understands that the bondage, liberation, salvation are the imposed identity or cover on our heart-mind / hearty-intellect. Instead of searching and seeing within, people start running outside for the solution. The word aeon (8.23) means an immeasurably long period of time and it was used to describe the load of ignorance. This alone nourishes the rest of the other emotional defects. The chapter 9, shows the unbaked mind of those who will be preaching Gospels. Andrew took them as strange ideas and could not believe that they were said by Jesus. As usual, hot tempered, gender biased Peter started abusing her. At this point Levi, uses a harsh word, adversaries for the mentality of Peter who had problem with woman community and could not accept them fit for spiritual journey.

indian philosophy in IVS.

The revised edition of the book (ebook and paperback) continuity of Indus script and civilization is published. In that, other dimensions with a hint towards one school of Indian philosophy were discussed. Now the dimension of the 9 theist / astik schools of Indian philosophy will be seen.

It also resembles sāṃkhy darshan / Philosophy. Here, the inner circle denotes puruṣa and the outer one, prakṛti. The prakṛti is the functional or applicable form. Puruṣ is a spiritual and subtle form. There isn't any separate existence of prakṛti (Chaitanya.A, 2017). A normal query arises in the mind. What about the other 8 astik / theist schools of Indian philosophy? Are they present in the above seal? In the book only one school is mentioned, Why?
The topic in the book, is focussed on sky gazing, subheading of the chapter 3 (Lineage). In the seal, sāṃkhy darshan is easily seen and for others, detailed analysis is needed.
All the 9 schools of Indian philosophy are internally - externally linked with one another. In a chronological order they address the needs of a seeker. They do not force their conclusion. The root of the word veda, vid has got five meanings and the first one is ‘to know’ (realize). In the process of knowing, a person must follow a self - disciplined lifestyle, taught by 3 schools (Charvaka,Jain,Bauddha). Character building begins with Charvaka darshan which helps in the controlled consumption of goods and services. The Nyay and Vaishishik darshan helps in reasoning and introspection. The duo of sāṃkhy and yog helps in moving forward towards the unification which is explained by vedant (non duality). The duo of sāṃkhy-yog accepts dissolution of the physical body / gross body (Sthūla Śarīra) and the subtle body (Sūkṣma Śarīra) only. The causal body (Kāraṇa Śarīra) stays as it is. The state of divinity or bliss experienced in this level is within the domain of attributes. Duality controls the mind, considers the pleasure of the causal body as everything because it is trapped in the web of titles. Due to the all prevalent nature of pure consciousness, it is present in every level, the required level asks for further practice.

A person may raise doubt regarding the number of the level / state of the body. In this analysis, the number game is not important. One can take 2,5,7, etc, it won't change the meaning of this presentation.
